With over 10 years of experience in medical consumables manufacturing, Engineer Phan Viet Anh Viet Vuong is a leading expert in the research, design, and production of medical devices. He currently serves as Deputy Director of Research & Development at Wembley Medical Factory JSC – a pioneer in the production of high-quality medical consumables in Vietnam. Simultaneously, he is the Director of WMC Chemical-Biomedical Research Center, specializing in the research, design, and technology transfer of biochemical and medical device innovations.
Beyond manufacturing, he has made significant contributions to national-level research and technology innovation programs. He has successfully designed and transferred technology for more than two medical consumables factories and led numerous high-tech projects at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park according to national development orientation (Decision 38/2020/QD-TTg). The products he has overseen range from Class A and B medical consumables to complex Class C and D devices, such as PTCA stents, angioplasty balloons, surgical sutures, and intraocular lenses (IOLs),..
With a solid technical foundation and a systematic mindset, he has played a crucial role in enhancing domestic manufacturing capabilities, gradually enabling Vietnam’s medical consumables industry to meet stringent international standards such as CE (MDR, IVDR) and advanced quality management systems like ISO 13485, GMP, and ISO 14001.
