As digital transformation becomes an inevitable trend in the manufacturing industry, WEMBLEY MEDICAL has been a pioneer in applying Industry 4.0 technologies to the management and operation of its medical consumables manufacturing plant in Vietnam.

One of the most remarkable milestones in this journey is the collaboration between WEMBLEY MEDICAL and the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (VNU-HCM), under the leadership of Dr. Tran Ngoc Huy.

Sharing about the project, Dr.Tran Ngoc  Huy said:

“Within the framework of cooperation between WEMBLEY MEDICAL and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - VNU-HCM, our faculty team from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering worked closely with WEMBLEY MEDICAL’s engineers to upgrade the Digital Transformation of the Real-Time Management System for the medical consumables manufacturing plant in Vietnam.

The key activities included digitalizing production data collected from machinery on the production line and developing a real-time visual monitoring system. This enables the production line to track performance in real time, detect issues earlier, and enhance transparency throughout the operation process.

After 12 months of implementation, the project successfully completed the phase of ‘Data collection, real-time analysis, and visual monitoring deployment across multiple production systems within the factory.’ This is only the first step, but it already demonstrates the company’s strong and correct direction in adopting foundational Industry 4.0 technologies to improve manufacturing capabilities, reduce manual dependency, and lay the groundwork for deeper developments such as process optimization, fault prediction, equipment monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
