On November 21, 2025, the symposium titled “Optimizing Platelet-Rich Plasma Applications in Aesthetic Dermatology”, co-organized by WEMBLEY MEDICAL and the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, took place successfully.
Nearly 200 Aesthetic Dermatology Specialists, Dentists, Medical Doctors from various specialties, as well as a large number of Founders and Managers of Aesthetic Hospitals, Aesthetic Clinics, and Spas in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas gathered to update the latest knowledge on Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) - an advanced regenerative technology that is widely applied in skin rejuvenation, hair loss treatment, and intensive dermatological care.
Under the moderation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thai Van Thanh (Head of the Aesthetic Dermatology Department, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City), the symposium provided a comprehensive scientific overview of PRP - from the biological foundations to optimized clinical applications.
The Chair emphasized: “PRP is an autologous biologically rich source, but optimal clinical outcomes are only achieved when it is applied in the right anatomical area, using the correct technique, and for the right indication. The aim of today’s symposium is to help physicians understand the science, apply the correct techniques, and ensure safe clinical practice.”
Through their scientific presentations, the speakers delivered an in-depth overview of PRP, including its biological mechanisms and efficacy in hair restoration, rejuvenation techniques, scar management, facial pigmentation treatment, and multi-area applications such as the neck, hands, and abdomen - enabling clinicians to master indications, techniques, and confidently implement PRP in clinical practice.
MSc. Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao presented a clear scientific perspective on tissue regeneration mechanisms, inflammatory reduction, and hair follicle recovery using PRP - one of the most effective indications currently. Authentic clinical images allowed attendees to gain deeper insights into the biological potential of this treatment.
MSc. Dr. Ta Quoc Hung (Head of Laser, Light and Energy-Based Dermatology Unit, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City) shared data focusing on rejuvenation procedures, scar improvement, pigmentation treatment, and post-procedural skin recovery in the facial area. The report also highlighted techniques for optimized injection protocols, specimen handling, and post-treatment care to ensure safe and long-lasting results.
Specialist Level II Dr. Le Vi Anh (Department of Aesthetic Dermatology, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City) presented PRP applications for the neck, hands, abdomen, and other anatomically specific areas. The session provided standard indications, recommended techniques, and practical considerations to enhance physician confidence in multi-area applications.
