World Malaria Day April 25th – Accelerating the Fight Against Malaria for a Fairer World

Malaria is one of the most dangerous diseases, threatening human health and life. It primarily affects those with weakened immune systems, such as pregnant women, newborns, children under the age of five, refugees, migrants, internally displaced people, and indigenous people.

According to WHO reports, Africa will bear the brunt of this disease, accounting for 94% to 95% of cases and deaths in 2022. In Vietnam, the Ministry of Health reported approximately 5,000 cases in 2018, which dropped to 424 cases in 2022.

However, there are significant barriers to accessing malaria prevention, detection, and treatment methods. These include educational and financial disparities, gender discrimination and norms, poor treatment conditions, climate change, and humanitarian crises.

To achieve our vision of a malaria-free world, we must:

✔ Eliminate discrimination and stigma.

✔ Involve communities in healthcare decision-making.

✔ Provide primary healthcare services near people's homes and workplaces.

✔ Address factors that raise malaria risk.

✔ Incorporate malaria prevention into universal healthcare coverage.

WEMBLEY MEDICAL's commitment to combating malaria globally includes raising awareness about common symptoms and malaria prevention methods. Join WEMBLEY MEDICAL to protect yourself, your family, and your community.
