In response to the stringent technical requirements of diagnostic testing, URI EDTA blood collection tubes are designed and manufactured to strict standards, supporting high-accuracy testing processes.
URI EDTA blood collection tubes are coated with the anticoagulants K2EDTA or K3EDTA. These tubes are commonly used in routine immunohematology tests, blood grouping, and Rh typing.
URI EDTA blood collection tubes are manufactured using an automated assembly system with advanced spraying technology for uniform chemical coating. They are available in sterile (URN – URS) and non-sterile (URA – URB) options. URI EDTA blood collection tubes offer the following advantages:
The URI EDTA blood collection tube body is constructed from Polypropylene (PP), a material known for its high resistance to cracking, excellent impact resistance, and ability to minimize chemical evaporation. The cap is made from Polyethylene (PE), offering superior chemical resistance and high impact durability, and is designed to form a secure seal with the tube body. These features ensure that the sample remains leakproof during transport and handling by laboratory technicians.
The entire production process for the tubes is conducted using an automated assembly line in a Class 100,000 cleanroom. The process adheres to a quality management system certified to ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and GMP standards. The product is certified to meet European CE Marking standards and has obtained Certificates of Free Sale (CFSs) for the United Kingdom and Spain.
URI EDTA blood collection tubes are sterilized using irradiation, which eliminates microorganisms while preserving the integrity of the reagents and preventing risks to test results caused by bacteria.
